I started a new novel last month and am now 15,000 words in. It's another young adult book about two boys who meet in unusual circumstances and the friendship that is forged between them. This is the first time I have had a story come so easily to me so I'm just running with it and will edit when I reach the end. Usually I would write two to three chapters, edit them, write a couple more, edit, and so on.
It makes a pleasant change to write about teenage boys too after two novels with female protagonists. Also working with secondary age lads has really helped get into character. If the ideas keep flowing I hope to complete a first draft by the end of May and then it's all editing from then on in.
