In the meantime, I've been really busy getting Cheese Boy, my second YA novel ready and am pretty much done apart from the final pages. I find it's always a dilemma knowing how and when to end it. That apart, having learnt so much through editorial advice from my agent, I am finding that my editing skills are much sharper.
I am almost ready for Christmas. Presents all bought and wrapped. Food spilling out of the cupboards. Just the turkey to collect from a local farm shop tomorrow.
It has been an amazing 2016 for me after finally summoning up the courage to go to the Winchester Writers' Festival and pitch to agents. It wasn't as scary as I had imagined and I made some good friends there. The courses, also, were invaluable. I have been dipping into little nuggets of advice ever since and hope to go back again next year.
So, an agent, an almost finalised novel and then pitching to publishers in 2017. I can hardly wait!
Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year.
